organic milk and antibiotics

We had a spirited discussion around the Thanksgiving table regarding

organic milk.

Our cousin is a veterinarian student and she told us that cows get

mastitis basically every time they get milked, and that it is cruel

to raise them organically since that means they are denied

antibiotics. As a nursing mom, this concerns me, since I had mastitis

once. It certainly was difficult.

What's the REAL story, please?
