<< c.She has autism c.She's autistic

d. He has Downs Syndrome d. He's Downs>>

If you're gonna get really pc and picky and do not wish to offend the pc and

picky parents of children with Down Syndrome you need to delete the " s " . Langdon

Down labelled it but he didn't have it. The correct term, which, trust me, I

could give a hoot about, is Down Syndrome. Please bear in mind that all of the

above terminology becomes obsolescent almost as quickly as computer software. So

don't get too comfortable with it.

Sherry in Florida, mom to 15.6 yo who " has Autism and Down Syndrome "

BTW when she was born and we were given the dx of DS, my husband remarked " Thank

God she's not mongoloid " :-)

I don't think I'll be a good PC picky type, I make way too many mistakes

too often for that to be possible,

Better stick to just disseminating resources and links.. :0)

, I have friends that have sons that also have dual diagnosis

of Down Syndrome and Autism...Do you have any links or resources

I could pass onto them?

thanks!
