April 13th 9pmEST " INCREASING VERBAL BEHAVIOR " (FREE)

This will be a FREE online workshop/chat brought to you in

association with TALKAUTISM.ORG

During the chat we will:

Review three of the four major communication systems (verbal,

picture exchange and sign language) Discuss the pros and cons of

each communication system enabling parents and professionals to make

better choices on which communication system they should choose to

teach a child. Presenter will provide simple procedures and advice

on how to illicit language via one of the above mention

communication methods. The focus of this chat will be using

behavioral principals and procedures to increase verbal behavior

based on the work of BF Skinner and Partington as well as more

May 8th 10am-12noon " ADDRESSING FEEDING ISSUES " (FREE)

Presented by: Sharene Louis, MS SLP-CCC

Location: Selden Library Cultural Center

This FREE discussion will include types of feeding disorders to

include sensory, motor and sensorimotor feeding disorders. Methods

and techniques will be presented to assist parents and professionals

in addressing different types of sensory feeding issues.

This workshop is provided to parents and professionals FREE of

charge but registration is required.

This intensive workshop will cover the basics of a Behavior Analysis

intervention as well as the different teaching methods used within

an ABA program. Topics include reinforcement, punishment, prompting,

data collection and analysis, maintenance, Discrete Trial Teaching

(DTT) and incidental teaching procedures. Registration is required

with a 50% deposit
