Ethanol can be denatured with many different ingredients. Each Specially Denatured Alcohol (SD Alcohol) has a specific formula which is mandated by the BATF. If you go to the CosmeticInfo files area, you will find two files in the US Regs folder that you will find useful. They are 27 CFR 20 (Use of Denatured Alcohol).pdf and 27CFR 21(SDA Formulas).pdf. Guest guest
there are MANY different ways to denature alcohol, Merin, some of which are kinda stinky or completely inappropriate for skin. Find out from your supplier WHICH formula for SDA they're using - i.e SDA 40, SDA 3-C, etc. and then either check back here, or consult the files where I believe a file on denatured alcohol resides. Call around to your local chemical companies. Pat. Peace, Joy, Serenity House of Scents tm.
