Guest guest
What worked for us was to direct Sam to say to the other parent " mommy, look! " everytime he would make a drawing or do someother little task that had a tangible product. The other parent would exclaim wildly over how great it was. Then he would do another thing, and again would be directed (at first taken to and verbally prompted, then distances were introduced) to " mommy, look. " As the " mommy, look! " got more spontaneous, we would ignore him till he tapped us and then go into our " this is so GREAT " routine. Now he loves showing us his stuff.
