Guest guest
If anyone has been treated successfully in the Dallas area for both yeast overgrowth and thyroid problems -- especially if you also have hypoglycemia (the opposite of diabetes) -- I would love to hear from you. I am particularly looking for someone who works with a dietician (since most drs do not understand the importance of good nutrition) and/or someone who blends both eastern and western medicine. I recently was referred to a highly respected gastro-intestinal (+ metabolic) doctor who had no clue what is wrong with me, failed to get my records (though I signed releases 10 days before my appt and sent them a one page synopsis of what happened to me) so he could understand anything, spent most of my visit throwing a fit because he did not have my records & because I cannot describe my symptoms in dr/medical terms (never talked to a human who talks in lay terms before??) and wanted to both go on a fishing expedition (tons of expensive tests -- only at the test site nearby -- gee I wonder who that would have benefited). Have been afraid to try non-traditional medicine but am tired of dealing with my legacy of gastro-intestinal problems from a post-surgical infection that was over-treated with antibiotics and the failure of traditional doctors to help. Used my disgust yesterday to search online. Found how to diagnose yeast overgrowth from your saliva; per that test I definitely have yeast overgrowth. Am also wondering if anyone has done self- treatment for yeast overgrowth successfully -- and would love to hear how that was done so I will not feel quite so much like I am jumping off a cliff by thinking about trying what I found. Also starting to wonder if I should take more seriously a gym-buddy's suggestion that I consider an acupuncturist (as she intends to try soon herself). Please email me with any suggestions.
