Guest guest
<http://www.religioustolerance.org/fc_comm2.htm> http://www.religioustolerance.org/fc_comm2.htm This is a good site for a full history of FC with some references. It gives both sides of the argument and doesn't make a judgment either way. You may also want to look into " Rapid Prompting Method " that has recently surfaced. There are some aspects of it that look very much like FC. e Quinby [ ] re: communicating Hello all Can anyone let me know if they know of any recent or fairly recent books, video and or research on Facilitated communication thanks please email me at jay_reis@... thanks group PS please no flames or negative comments about FC I am simply trying to see whats published out their about it. Guest guest
e and group, We transitioned to errorless and use very rapid prompting in most of Colin's programs. When I was first exposed to this method,it did make me think of FC and wonder if successful FC was really just errorless teaching/learning by another name. ,Colin P's mom [ ] re: communicating Hello all Can anyone let me know if they know of any recent or fairly recent books, video and or research on Facilitated communication thanks please email me at jay_reis@... thanks group PS please no flames or negative comments about FC I am simply trying to see whats published out their about it. Guest guest
I definitely agree that programs should use errorless teaching and move very quickly from one target to another to promote fluency. A debate about Rapid Prompting Method is probably not an appropriate topic for this list but I did state that " there are some aspects of it that look very much like FC. " Sincerely, e Re: [ ] re: communicating e and group, We transitioned to errorless and use very rapid prompting in most of Colin's programs. He'll get his report card Monday but his average will be about 85% or more - he's fully integrated, doing the regular curriculum, with a few minor adaptations, no modifications, and a 1-1 T.A. (in most classes). Even though I no longer had to *touch* him in grade 4, I don't consider him fully independent until grade 9. I've seen you ask the right people this question (and they're not here) so you should have the answers you're looking for.
