Guest guest
The MGH Institute's Speech, Language and Literacy Clinic and the MGH LADDERS program are collaborating on a small pilot intervention program for very young children on the autism spectrum. We will be running a free clinic in July and August once a week on Thursday mornings for 3 hours at the Institute's Speech, Language, and Literacy Clinic in the town Navy Yard. The focus of the clinic will be teaching parents strategies for facilitating early communication skills in children between the ages of 12 and 24 months who have been identified as on the autism spectrum. A multi-disciplinary team of 5 clinicians and 7 graduate students will work with the children and their parents. We have space for 5 children. Interested individuals should contact Lesley Maxwell, M.S.,CCC-SLP, Director of the Speech, Language, and Literacy Clinic at: lmaxwell@... or (617) 724-6305.
