Hi,

Our Au Pair is looking for a new live-in position for the coming year,

starting in November.

Berit is 24 years old and from Germany. She has a Masters degree in social

work and has gone to Dr. Carbone's #1 workshop. She has been working with our 2

Autistic kids, ages 3 & 6 since last November mostly NET type stuff. She has

worked with our OT, Speech therapist and Special ed. teacher. She has also

taken a sign language course. She is also experienced with Dietary

intervention. Her English is excellent. She has done wonders for our kids. We

feel that she is capable of quickly learning and correctly implementing just

about any behavior/educational plan.

We would really, really like to keep her another year, but she wants to move

on to another part of the country and see a different part of America.

Preferably a warmer part. She would also like to be in an area where there are

more/different cultural experiences than Albany, NY. Berit is a Vegan (doesn't

eat any animal products including milk, eggs & honey) and would prefer a

Vegetarian family. (But carnivorousness would not be a deal breaker) She feels

she would fit in best with a politically liberal family with a good sense of

humor.

She is currently employed through Au Pair in America. Check out their web

site for details on the employment contract. www.aupairinamerica.com She is

qualified as an 'Au Pair Extraordinaire'. Program fees average $325.00 a week

for 45 hrs of care. (we have her work only 40 hrs). There is also a $500.00

educational allowance (which could be used to send her to more Autism related

programs) and a $198.00 Visa extension filing fee. There may also be a

application fee for a new family entering the Au Pair in America program. And

of course room and board.

Anyone interested in more information, feel free to e-mail us at;
