Guest guest
Hi, We are currently working on body awareness with our son who is 7.4 years old. Although we have been teaching him this for what seems like ages, he doesn't seem to be able to identify parts of his body. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to teach this in a fun sort of way? We are doing songs; e.g. Head, shoulders, Hokie-Pokie, etc... Does anyone know if these are age aprropriate songs? He is not at school at the moment and I am trying to 'homeschool'. I am at the moment his therapist, tutor, etc... Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks! Prue
Guest guest
Prue and group, I think Colin was about seven--maybe eight--when the game Operation became his favorite. At the time we were not sure he had mastered the body parts drill. Playing Operation, he was able to demonstrate that he even pretty much knew where the internal organs were located. , Colin P's mom [ ] Body awareness ideas Hi, We are currently working on body awareness with our son who is 7.4 years old.
