Question:

My son ( age 9) has just been through a comprehensive visual

processing evaluation. As part of the evaluation, they

evaluated " residual primitive reflexes. He has been found to have not

fully integrated several reflexes. The only real research/therapy

references I can find are all in the UK or Australia. He has not

integrated the Moro reflex, Spinal Galant reflex, Asymmetric Tonic

Neck reflex, and Symmetrical Tonic neck reflex according to their

assessment.

Does anybody know of a doctor who specializes in neurodevelopmental

delay, assessment and treatment??? Preferably in the North Houston

area, but can travel if necessary.

Also, has anybody used vision therapy and had good results? My son

has several deficiencies in oculomotor dysfunction, eye teaming, and

visual-motor performance.

Thanks in advance!!

Dr. Frye is an excellent Pediatric Neurologist, as well as an

Autism specialist. He is in the Med Center at UT Health Science Center...

We did vision therapy with great results a year ago at the Vision

Learning Center in Bellaire which is run by Dr. Ann Voss. She does not

take insurance for the treatment but has all the codes for you to

submit to your provider for out-of-network reimbursement. It's quite

expensive, about $4000 for the eval and treatment sessions but we were

very impressed. For more info check her out at
