Guest guest Posted December 2, 2008 Report Share Posted December 2, 2008 , Someone at Lakewinds introduced me to carrots with their greens still on. Oh MY Goodness! They taste so excellent! I now realize the other carrots are old and dried out. The ones with greens still on are so fresh crisp and tender, not bone dry like the big bagged ones. I have to venture a guess they are more nutritious as well. We will never go back. I used to like baby carrots because of the convenience. But if you soak the green topped carrots (with greens removed) in water with a few drops of grapefruit seed extract for 5 minutes, they scrub up super easy.
