She has advanced training in multiple treatment formats including Applied verbal behavior, Kaufman strategies for treatment of apraxis and speech, and Greenspan's DIR approach. Under the mentorship of Dr. Carbone ,she became a board certified Associate Behavior Analyst in 2002. Workshop Learn research proven strategies to assist children with autism in developing speech and refining articulation skills. these strategies based on research in the field of speech language pathology and applied behavior analysis are especially appropriate for children who are having difficulty in development of speech and may also have a diagnosis of verbal apraxia .Methods for systematically shaping functional verbal communication in children with limited verbal imitation will be addressed. Application of Kaufman's hierarchy of vocalizations and use of simplified ''word shells " with this population will also be explored.
