Hi Everyone,

This weekend, we moved The Mariposa School to it's new location on 203

Gregson Drive in Cary , NC. This is a significant move for us -- we went

from a 2500 sq. ft. building to an 8050 sq. ft building! I must say, it's

pretty exciting to have lots of room now! The location is also much

nicer -- we are in a quiet setting where there is lots of green space.

Once we get settled in, we plan to begin offering speech and occupational

therapy services to complement the Verbal Behavior programs. (We are in the

process of looking for these professionals right now, so if you know

somebody in either of those fields who is looking for a position and is

willing to use the Verbal Behavior methodology, please send them our way!)

As we did in the old building, we have made sure the building is

environmentally safe. We replaced the old fluorescent lights, cleaned and

sealed the duct work, painted with low VOC paint, and cleaned with non-toxic

cleaners. We have also removed the existing wooden playground, and will be

having an environmentally safe playground installed this week.

(You can see it at http://www.pdplay.com/catalog.cfm?pid=24 :-)

We also have a training room, so we will begin offering training sessions to

parents or professionals who would like to learn more about behavioral

interventions, how to implement a verbal behavior program, and various other

topics.
