Guest guest
This means what? Isometric exercise works, plain and simple. There is tons of legitimate exercise reseaarch to back it up.However, this kind of testimonial clap-trap demeans the science of exercise. > > From another Forum: > > . > > " ALL ISOMETRIC TRAINING IN PREPARATION FOR THE UNIVERSE! > Hey guys, > In the next 9 days I'm competing in the Universe/Caribbean Grand Prix champianships. This will be the biggest ever! My Class will consist of 15 Bodybuilders AGAIN. For 4 weeks now all I've been doing is Isometric contractions. Let me say here, that for all those Nay-sayers that think Isometrics don't deliver defined, well shaped and increased ripped to the cords muscles and fiberous strength throughout the tendons.....Think again! > > > > > > For years I've done Isometric contractions and I can say that yes you will gain strength, lean muscle tissue and will gain definition fast! Isometric contractions will last longer and have more force output than dynamic contractions involving movement. Isometric exercises are the best forms of increasing strength, size, definition and muscular endurance on the hurry up! Force production generates growth. Force generation also signals IGF-1 to increase an anabolic state in the muscle being trained. Having a powerful signal generates the most growth. That's the reason isometrics work so well! A few scientists agree that isometric contractions are far superior to dynamic movements. Some say that dynamic movements are more effective than Isometrics. Each has it's place. However, Isometrics are more efficient in muscle building because you're sustaining a signal without repeated full range contractions. So the overload is much greater than full range contractions. However, the > size and girth of the muscle structure will increase due to extended tension time and tension load on the musculature. Like I said in past posts isometrics work big time! When it comes to strengthening tendons, increasing endurance and hardening the muscles Isometrics are it! Striations running across the chest and my biceps and triceps are shreaded! haven't seen those triceps with lean striations in a long time 4 years to be exact! The clock is ticking not looking at taking it but looking forward to make a good showing! Before Chocolate cake time. > > > > > > > --------------------------------- > Love cheap thrills? Guest guest
Well, the guy that wrote that is Marlon Birch who is a professional bodybuilder. He says all he uses is isometrics. Of course it is more his genetics than his training method. You can look at his pics here. http://www.graphicmuscle.com/vbp/forums/showthread.php?p=1936 > > > > From another Forum: > > > > . > > > > " ALL ISOMETRIC TRAINING IN PREPARATION FOR THE UNIVERSE! > > Hey guys, > > In the next 9 days I'm competing in the Universe/Caribbean Grand > Prix champianships. Guest guest
I dont think you should take personal testimonial as a submission for scientific evidence. You will note there are plenty of personal testimonials - good and bad. It's only worth playing the kill joy card if someone tries to pass this off as scientific fact. > > > > From another Forum: > > > > . > > > > " ALL ISOMETRIC TRAINING IN PREPARATION FOR THE UNIVERSE! > > Hey guys, > > In the next 9 days I'm competing in the Universe/Caribbean Grand > Prix champianships.
