Guest guest
Colleen, Don't be afraid of the French Vanilla Designer Protein--I drink it everyday. I was making it with water and just stirring with a spoon-- it was kinda watery and lumpy. Now I mix it--about 6 oz. skim milk with 1 1/2 scoops powder--I put it in a Tupperware Quickshake cup (it has a little " wheel " inside that breaks up the lumps). It is really delicious that way!! The milk adds some taste and the lumps break up so it is kinda like a vanilla shake. (Doesn't taste like Mcs Vanilla Shake, but it is pretty good.) It sure is a great help to have on hand to get the extra protein each day. It's very quick and excellent for those times when I am not really hungry but it is time to eat. All that to say--make it with milk, not water, it tastes much better. : ) Donna H.

Another option - especially since a shake made with water is a good way to incorporate more water into your overall consumption - is to make the shake with water but add 1 or 2 whole eggs for creaminess and extra nutrients. Guest guest
Hmmm, I thought that eating raw eggs was a good way to get samonella. Incidences of foodborne illness due to salmonella have been linked to the consumption of undercooked eggs and foods containing undercooked eggs. Even Bill warns about the dangers of eating raw or undercooked eggs and salmonella in the Body-for-Life book (bottom of page 85). I think I'll stay away from the raw eggs idea... >I agree!
