Literature supporting ABA as effective theraputic intervention

Hello,

I have a mom who needs some current articles to submit to her

healthcare provider supporting ABA as a medical necessity (much like

they would cover OT, SLP, or other specialized training). Lovaas'

work would be helpful but she is wanting to focus on VB and natural

environment. Any help is welcomed...

There is a book called, " A Collection of Reprints on Verbal Behavior " by

Mark Sundberg and Jack . It includes 28 previously published

articles that include Sundberg and/or as an author and has verbal

behavior as a topic. The articles are from '82-'97. It is by no means all

encompassing, but it is a start. You can purchase it through Behavior

Analysts, Inc. - www.behavioranalysts.com and Different Roads to Learning

may also carry it - www.difflearn.com .

You can also look in the following journals: The Analysis of Verbal

Behavior and Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis for specific articles on

the procedures. Instead of trying to look through thousands of articles,

you may want to refer to the Surgeon General's report that recommends ABA.

You can also refer to the NY State Guidelines which also recommend ABA. Can

someone post the links for these resources?
