Guest guest
HI all this year we are trying mainstreaming with a school aide and its not going to well with his behaviors. I am seeking advice about what type of classroom parents look for when your child has had a in home aba program and done well, is verbal, can sit at church, school and other things except school with a aide. His motor skills are really bad and he will more than likely have to do Kind over again as his teacher says he is being silly, falling over laughing and disrupting her class, but we do not have a resource room just a autistic room with even more severe behaviors. I would like to know what type of classroom to look for when a child is HF with behaviors. I have in the past posted about states with aba classrooms but it just occurred to me that ABA classroom might be to rigid???Also his Kind typical class teacher says he is to immature and not ready for kind yet due to behaviors and such, he disrupts her class and she is not pro aba so does not want lovass training or supervision.
