As part of a continuing commitment to programs serving students with Autism Spectrum Disorder, CLIU #21 has developed a collaborative partnership with Parents of Autistic Children (POAC). POAC is a non-profit group of parents of children with autism interested in training teachers, in evidence based " best practices, " with the goal of helping people with autism live full and independent lives. The POAC organization has been assisting the CLIU for the past school year through staff training and consultation on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Verbal Behavior (VB).
