Guest guest
POAC's model classrooms (Brick ) will be featured tonight on Nightly News with Tom Brokaw I just received a call from NBC informing me that they are planning to air a special about the rising costs of autism tonight 6:30 on the NIGHTLY NEWS WITH TOM BROKAW. They spent over three hours in the Brick (POAC model classrooms) and are planning to use that footage to illustrate what progressive school districts are doing to improve outcomes and save money. You never know how these segments will turn out but I can tell you that the first words out of the producer's mouth were " Are you sure these are children with autism? " As most of you know, we have heard those comments many times before including the same quote being attributed to NJ Congressman in the Star Ledger (12/02). Hopefully, many more people throughout the country will now discover that by investing in " targeted and sustained " teacher training they too can develop their own " home grown " experts so that all of our kids can receive a quality education in their public school system. And, more importantly, you guys can stop moving into our school district! I'm not sure what time the show will air so check your local listings. Thanks, POAC - 161 Natick Trail, Brick, NJ, 09874, USA
