Elementary/Middle School Behavior Therapists

The Newton Public Schools seeks qualified individuals for Behavior Therapist

positions in the Elementary and Middle Schools Levels for the 2004-2005 school

year (Summer 2004).

Qualified Individuals should meet the following requirements:

Þ Strong Desire to work with Students with Autism Spectrum Disorders and

other disabilities in an inclusive setting.

Þ Work Experience and/or direct training in the techniques of Applied

Behavior Analysis.

Þ Effective teaching and behavioral skills to support students with

severe disabilities in a general education classroom and 1:1 setting.

Þ Flexible and positive attitude that promotes Team cohesiveness.

Þ Experience and/or ability to modify curriculum to meet the individual

needs of a student with a disability.

Þ Master’s level candidate in ABA and/or special education or related

course work
