Guest guest
I would recommend getting reprints of old stuff out of a library. The more modern a book is the less structured the lettering. There's a lot more 9 panels per page with little to no interior monologue in the older stuff. Golden Age stuff from the 30's and 40's Superman (Action) and Detective comics generally have very simple lettering. Most older stuff has been reprinted, though it might be easier to find Superman and Batman in cheap digest forms or library hardbound collections.
