Guest guest
This past Monday, 8/16 our consultant came for his visit and told us he has accepted a position elsewhere and it will be his last day. He has been with us only a number of months, has gotten us very excited about VB but our therapist needs much more training and guidance. Our consultant had just begun some training - enough so that we can see how great this therapy is but not enough for us to know what we are doing. We are excited, at the starting gate of this ABA/VB stuff and champing at the bit so to speak but still not trained enough to run with it - or win a race. I live in Western, MA (very western - we border Vermont and New York State) and desperately need a VB consultant. Our Sped director would be agreeable to this. Our son has been in our home based ABA (Lovaas style) program for about 2 1/2 years (about 4 hours a week of pre- school inclusion), he is verbal, no SIB, and has started already quite a bit of Manding. Any information or sources of VB consultants would be so greatly appreciated. Thank you. Lori (Sam-just turned 5)
