Guest guest
Jane and group, My son started VB at age nine. At that time,he communicated by typing on keyboards. We had tried to teach him to sign from the time he was 2YO but his fine motor skills seemed to prohibit learning. Whether it was his greater maturity or our zeal after Vince Carbone's workshop #1,he acquired SEE pretty quickly at age nine. He is thirteen now. He attends our neighborhood public school. He will start seventh grade in two weeks. ,Colin P's mom [ ] A question Hi all, I wanted to know as someone who is considering VB. My son who is Autistic and Apraxic and Aphasic can anyone tell me if it has done any good for their son or daughter in the same condition? My son is very strong visually but i have noticed that sign langauge has helped his verbal language alot. Thanks for your input!!!
