Earn an Applied Behavior Analysis for Special Education certificate from

Penn State within one academic year. This award-winning program has been

updated to meet the new certification requirements of the Behavior

Analyst Certification Board, requirements that will take effect in 2005.

Special education teachers are the primary audience for the program;

however, other professionals can benefit, including behavior

specialists, mobile therapists, educational consultants, speech-language

pathologists, school counselors, social workers, and directors of human

services.

The first three courses, offered via videotape or DVD, contain

customized course materials so that students can complete the work from

their homes or offices.

For the final course, participants will travel to the University Park

campus in State College, Pennsylvania, to attend the National Autism

Conference, an event that provides information and facilitates

partnerships for students with autism spectrum disorder and their

families.

Motivated individuals can complete the program in one academic year.

Qualified Pennsylvania residents can earn contact hours toward

fulfilling Act 48 requirements by completing courses in the ABA

certificate program.
