Guest guest
Hi, I am a parent in North Vancouver British Columbia. We have started a Verbal Behavior classroom for children 3 - 5 years old. The classroom started in September and the children are already making progress. This program is being paid for with direct funding that our provincial government gives us. But this is not the case for our school systems. My next step is to try and get our school district to create a verbal behavior classroom in the schools for children that are school age. What our education ministry has asked for me is to provide any research that the schools in the states may have that use the verbal behavior approach. If I can get ahold of any research or hard core evidence that this is viable program and it is not just a program that parents want, I think that I help convince the district to move towards this type of classroom. Right now all children with autism are fully integrated and it is not work for all children on the spectrum. So something else must be done. So if any of the schools can provide this, I would be willing to pay for the materials to be photocopied and also pay for the delivery of these documents. I appreciate your help in this matter.
