Guest guest
Hello. My son has a major issue with non-responsiveness. We have worked on getting him to look at us and answer when we call his name, and we've made progress getting him to respond when (1) there is little distance between us and (2) the environment is calm. However, we still have great difficulty getting him to respond to us from a distance or when we're in an environment with distracting stimuli. If he is playing on the computer or watching TV, we might as well not even bother to call his name, even if we're standing right beside him. If any of you have successfully addressed this kind of behavior, I would appreciate hearing what worked for you. Thank you in advance.
