PROFESSIONALS WORKSHOP: 1-3pm

Autistic Culture: This will present a " cultural " model of autism,

as an alternative to the traditional " deficit " model. Observations

and

examples will be given from the autistic community that has

developed within Autism Network International.

PARENTS WORKSHOP: 5-8PM

Parents' Story Hour: This interactive workshop for parents uses

several children's books as discussion springboards for considering

common issues of concern to parents of autistic children.

Autism-Positive Parenting: This session will present practical

guidelines for working *with* your child's autism, instead of

against it.

WHAT: Identifying appropriate teaching staff to do ABA

WHEN: Nov 6th 10-12noon
