Guest guest
hi all i have a 5 1/2 year old who has been in program since age 18 months. I posted on this before and would like further input. We are having tremendous gains with receptive language (receptive id with 2 pictures in front of him, touch ___). We are moving to sign as a response form for this. My son has seizures which seem to be under great control but still lots of abnormal impulses, 72 hour EEG abnormal throughout. He has almost no expressive language despite efforts with sign and PECS after 4 years of work. Dont need to know that in MOST CASES YOU WOULD SAY DONT TEACH TACTS BUT I AM AND WILL!! So, is it possible that there are still abnormal impulses in expressive area of brain and not receptive? And has anyone else had experience with this and gotten more expressive language via receptive. Any input would be appreciated. you may email me privately as well. mainecollier@...
