Guest guest
hi all i have been posting lately to get help with my program for a child with significant receptive skills and very little expressive. I would like to teach sign, try it again (scrolling huge problem before) but am unsure of some things. First i believe that trying pecs was a good idea, but we are not any better off with it and given my sons constantly changing and sometimes non existent EO sign may be a good switch. so........ My son has about 25 pictures in book. We had about 25 signs (action signs which he still uses, and lots of tangible items before) Now he has several kinds of chips, cookies etc in book so how do i teach cookie discriminate which one, oreo, nutter butter? I dont think i could do two signs together but i could have the bag of each cookies or picture and have him sign and then pick one? Dont know, has anyone done this or seen it done? If so would you please post or email me privately? Also I want to keep some good data to show that sign again is or is not helping more. Other than number of mands (which was about 400- 600 now 100 on a good day), what else would be best to check. Number of times scrolling per day? Number of independent mands? Thanks again! leighanne
