Dear fellow Listers:

While I was attending the big ABA conference in Boston last May, I stopped

at the booth of an exhibitor who had developed some really neat software

designed to collect ABA program data on a palm pilot. I was VERY impressed

with the features and the flexibility of the program.

I grilled the guy for almost two hours and left convinced that the software

would trim 15-20 minutes of administrative time off every one of my son's

sessions and 1-2 hours off my weekly duties (it makes detailed charts,

prepares reports, tracks therapist sign-in/out and generates a time sheet,

etc.) That seemed like a great deal to me because it only costs $99 per

child as a one-time registration fee and I'm all for saving money on therapy

time with something like this. The thing I liked most about it was that it

could be used for various forms of data collection (trial-by-trial, cold

probe, session notes, etc.) and that it would track behaviors like manding

and/or crying and generate reports regarding frequency, setting, etc.

The version I saw was in development and I have been waiting for the

product's release before posting something here. Now that I've received

word that it's available, I want to tell everyone about it. Here's the

website: www.mobilethinking.com .

I know this sounds like a commercial, but I want to assure you that I do not

have any financial interest in this product. I'm paying my registration fee

just like everyone else. I just thought this seemed like the kind of thing

other parents should know about.

Have a great day, everyone.
