Guest guest
Dear People, Thank you ALL so much for your help! There are some really nice folks on these lists and the many kindnesses that were extended toward me today touched me. It turns out that the required drill bit size is 17/32, a common enough size -- although you'd never know it from looking at the instructions. To be fair to Dan, he DID call me back this afternoon after I emailed you all in a panic; so I don't want to perpetuate the notion (if I did) that he's irresponsible. It's just that I was very stirred up because I was in such physical pain. Which brings me to why I bought the Enhancer. After an auto accident 3-1/2 years ago, I have experienced burning, numbing pain and inflammation radiating down my right arm, making my right hand swell so much that I could barely move it. This occurs particularly after sleeping. For almost a year after the accident, I slept only about 4 hours a night (2 hours at a time only) because the pain was so bad, I would have to get up and move around or stand, because lying down would only create more pain. As you might imagine, I have been fairly exhausted on a rather consistant level. I've tried: Rifing, acupuncture, massage, cranio-sacral, chiropractic, Network chiropractic, homeopathic ointments, herbal tinctures, nutritional anti-inflammatories, wet packs, cold packs. I have felt partial relief for brief periods of time from most of the above. The Network chiropractic I had with one particular practitioner afforded me almost complete relief, but after I moved from Massachusetts to New York it became impractical to make the 6-hour round trip, and I never found a practitioner as good. To make matters worse, normal lifting and carrying have only exacerbated the condition. Lately the problem became pretty bad again, so in my sleep deprived state I sent out a distress signal. I wanted to make sure I had the information about the correct drill bit size BEFORE all the stores closed; because I didn't want to wait another night to get onto this machine. Although Dan did call me back within 24 hours, this incident does point to the necessity of putting INTO UNDERSTANDABLE ENGLISH all assembly instructions and specifications of devices for people who are assembling units from component parts. Maybe it's where I live -- about 2 hours north of New York City west of the Hudson River -- but no one in the several hardware stores I called knew what the heck a .209 drill bit was. The people in the lumber yards had never heard of HDO (high density) plywood, either (another necessary piece for the Enhancer). It took me 9 phone calls to find someone who knew about it. I have no idea why. Anyway, all the glitches are finally being straightened out; so as soon as my friend finishes putting the unit together for me this evening, I will use it and report back to you. Thank you all again for your help and concern. Nina Silver
