Guest guest
Thanks for all of the info. Tea at the Arboretum was WONDERFUL today. They had trams so we did not have to walk far in the cold. I feel really crummy now so I am definitely ready to be gluten free starting tomorrow. I already have my waffles made up and in the freezer for breakfast. One of my dreams is traveling Europe with the Rick Steve tour group. They include breakfast everyday and ½ of the dinners. I contacted them regarding a gluten free diet. They were extremely helpful. They seem pretty much able to handle the situation depending on what country you tour. I’m sure it helps that they only have about 25-30 on each tour. That was encouraging. Yes, it did make me sad and still does to think that this was the last real tea that I would be able to really enjoy. I was thinking of all of the food that I had on our trip to England that are off limits…fish and chips, etc. Oh well! I’m really trying to focus on how much better I’m going to feel. I have a year to think of a new tradition. Scones and a real high tea are something I miss the most on a GF diet. One of my most favorite things to do has been to have tea whenever I travel to Europe and to big cities in the U.S. with fancy hotels - the last time I had tea was at the Drake hotel in Chicago. My favorite was the Savoy in London (on Sunday - they have a small orchestra). B.
