62 year old man had an affair from 1993-1995. In 1995 he had oral sex with the woman for the first time, and claims he woke up the next am with horrible oral lesions. Within a few weeks he also experienced a penile lesion/discharge (I am perplexed why this lesion would arise two years after they had been having sex) He was embarrassed and decided not to be tested for CT, GC, herpes at that time, but was tested about three years later (negative). He reported no symptoms that might be associated with an ongoing CT or GC case ie urethritis, uveitis, arthritis, etc.Currently: his mouth never fully healed. In 2000 he developed leukoplakia on his tongue, and now has a single active lesion. He has had six biopsies (all of them dysplastic aconthosis) and one of them (2005) came back basal cell carcinoma. This was excised, but now, posterior to the excision, the leukoplakia has returned. He has no history of smoking,

heavy EtOH use and has no hardware in his mouth that might be irritating the tissue of his tongue. I sent him to the EENT who agreed this lesion, given his history, should be excised. He also has an arrhythmia that concerned me enough (given his sexual history) to run an RPR (negative). CBC, CMP and herpes testing also were unremarkable.I have him on a mouth wash of vitamin A, folic acid and Argentyn 23; Reishi caps, Vitamin E, Grapeseed extract, UNDA 1, 48, 700. The lesion appears to be breaking up, but not to any significant extent.Have folks had any experience with leukoplakia, dyplastic lesions of this sort. What sort of approach have you taken? Any thoughts on the likely STD history? , NDMedford, Klamath Falls OR

, I saw a client with a significant warty oral lesion of 2-3 cm in side under the tongue. It looked horrible, and I thought it might be cancer. She had a poor diet and drank also of soda - coke perhaps?I recommended a biopsy, and used antioxidants, dietary changes as well as an oral rinse of HEMP formula (Echinacea, Goldenseal, Myrrh and Phytolacca) and Thuja/Ligusticum/Lomatium) and other things....she did the tincture rinse faithfully (which she personally thought was helping alot) and not much else except giving up coke, but it did improve over about a 3-months-period prior to excision. It was shrinking but she was scarred of cancer despite the biopsy coming back negative. I'd been hopeful for slow progress, wait, treat, and monitor...but she was very fearful of cancer; (I'm sorry it was some years back and don't remember the diagnosis). Excision was negative for cancer.
