Zoloft replacement?

My daughter age 26 was in a car accident in January. From hitting her head

on the

steering wheel she was left with holes in her short term memory, loss of

emotions

except for joy and irritation, light sensitivity and problems with

over-stimulation around

groups of people etc.

With prayer, therapy and learning coping skills she is improving but in the

mean time

it is tough for a micro-biology grad student.

In August the doctor found a medication to help stop the constant headaches.

They also put her on Zoloft to stimulate the frontal lob nerve activity. It

helped

balance light and sound for her. Since being on Zoloft her cycles changed

with

bleeding more often and such. They upped the dosage Oct 5 and Oct. 10 she

woke

up with hives that in a few days covered much of her body. The doctor

stopped the

Zoloft. She noted improvement right away with her cycle but is back to

working

in a darkened room with no one around her, so it was helping the light

sensitivity

and over-stimulation problems.

Her doctor wants her to go back on Zoloft at a low dosage.

Is there any alternative to using Zoloft that would be worth trying?

Don't know if she is using the generic type (Sertraline) listed in the

CCL Manual but probably not. Might she react to it differently or is the

generic

exactly the same product?

Apparently one ingredient in the Zoloft is causing her to break out.

Is it possible to compound this medicine without one additive?

Or is there a more natural way to stimulate frontal lobe nerve activity to

avoid

all the medication side affects?

Perhaps some of you have worked with similar accident patients or the

medication.

Any suggestions you can provide would be appreciated.

God's Blessings,
