Guest guest
St, I think the design you want is 2C ATRatio. That trains up the Alpha Theta ratio. The designs you are looking at are for a different purpose, getting the 7 Hz amplitude to equal the alpha amplitude, which will often produce an observer state re unconscious material. foxx -----Original Message-----From: braintrainer [mailto:braintrainer ] On Behalf Of St LeeSent: Tuesday, July 11, 2006 10:29 AMTo: braintrainer Subject: RE: alpha theta protocol Pete, In looking at the signal diagram on your alpha theta protocol, it appears to me that the “ocean surf” is for alpha/theta or for a higher alpha than theta, whereas I thought the intent of alpha theta was to eventually get theta lower than alpha. (As an aside, if my above analysis is correct, it is confusing in that the EEGer version of alpha theta gives an ocean surf reward as theta is on the ascendance, I think, and a babbling brook for alpha predominance). The tubular bell sound has notes and volume changes dependent on the desirable “memory” theta of 6.5 to 7.5, and is enabled by crossover. I have forgotten what “enable” means. Does that mean there are no bell sounds at all unless there is crossover, or are there additional tubular bells sounds that occur with crossover? I may actually understand this all one day. Until then, I appreciate your elucidation. Guest guest
Thanks, Foxx, but no, I am talking about a 1c alpha theta training. IN order to bring about a crossover, seems to me you are going to want a lower alpha/theta ratio in that one channel. Seems to me that the way Pete has it set up is to reward (w ocean surf) for a higher alpha/theta ratio. Saint St. Lee stgeorgelee@... Guest guest
Hi Foxx I am interested in your comment re different set ups for different purposes for alpha theta protocols. I am wondering if you and otheres could comment more. The proposal to train theta 7Hz up to be of equal amplitude to alpha rather than crossing over is not something I've come across before.
