Guest guest
Good Morning! I am formulating a new shampoo blend that will possibly have disodium laureth sulfosuccinate has an ingredient. I have found it to be very mild and according to the Draize Irritation potential scale it is quite low---lower even than decyl polyglucoside. I have tried searching for more technical information, and see it is included in many shampoos/bath gels that have a very positive public perception. Could anyone recommend any references or any good information on this ingredient (Maurice ? Since I am not a chemist and most people that will purchase this will not be either, how can I best explain that it is not related to sls, sles since it kind of sounds like it might be related? I am concerned that this may be an issue for the consumer and even though it seems a great surfactant for shampoo, etc., makes me a bit reluctant to use it. If you are concerned, maybe you could show them the chemical structures of the three molecules. They'll be able to see a difference. >I am concerned that this may be an issue for the >consumer and even though it seems a great surfactant for shampoo, etc., makes >me a bit reluctant to use it.
