Guest guest
Austin--none in Dallas that I know of. It's not crazy to commute for treatment though, because you only need to see Dr, Krigsman once or twice. Jane > > WHere is Dr Krigsman located. ARe there any Dan GI doctors in the > Dallas area. Guest guest
Hi Jane, I suspect my daughter has some similar problems; GI related. What did you find? What were the symptoms? Email me off list if you like, since this is OT. Thanks, Aliza --- Jane wrote: > Have you tried the DAN protocol? Guest guest
Aliza, Even though it's OT, I've gotten several off-list requests for more information now, so I think I might as well reply on list. -pain -reflux -malodorous stool -constipation -diarrhea -infrequent or too frequent stools (a child should go approx. 1 x per day) -undigested food in the stool -bloating My son had pain and occasional constipation and diarrhea. He was diagnosed by Dr. Krigsman with lymphoid nodular hyperplasia (autistic enterocolitis)--the problem that Wakefield writes about. It's an inflammatory bowel disease. We treat him with pentasa, an aminosalicylate. It's the same thing that people with Crohn's or Ulcerative colitis take. Once we started with pentasa, the rages stopped overnight. His anxiety and depression dropped dramatically. We continued to see improvement when we added the gluten- and casein-free diet. His bowel function improved when we added secretin, which he now takes every day in a nasal spray. He also takes probiotics. For anyone who decides to pursue this, it's essential to see a DAN-trained gastroenterologist like Dr. Krigsman. An ordinary GI won't know what he's looking for & won't know how to treat what he finds. Jane > > Hi Jane, > > I suspect my daughter has some similar problems; GI > related. What did you find?
