Guest guest
Dear Ravin, I have a patient who underwent Hysterectomy for Carcinoma. She has the ideal attitude. When I asked her how she felt, she said, " I am going to heaven part by part. So my uterus will book a good seat for me in heaven. " I know that losing a foot is a very big deal. But what can't be cured must be endured. Why not endure it with a grin? Tell your Dad not to lose heart....... even if he has lost a foot. All the best. Guest guest
The Orthopedic surgeon was of the opinion that its due to age related atherosclerosis combined with reduced intrinsic body resistance that a small wound on the heal developed rapidly into gangrene even though he was on IV higher level antibiotics. Guest guest
Hi ravin,      Hope your dad recovers fast. Gangrene is usually due to vascular compromise. I think your ortho was right in saying that it is due to age related atherosclerosis. regards Raju Shah 1978 ________________________________ To: mgims Sent: Wednesday, 4 April 2012 10:16 AM Subject: Re: To Ravin The Orthopedic surgeon was of the opinion that its due to age related atherosclerosis combined with reduced intrinsic body resistance that a small wound on the heal developed rapidly into gangrene even though he was on IV higher level antibiotics.
