Guest guest
Grrrrrr..... Imagine my surprise (not) when I saw the elementary school that I just removed my ds from flash up on the screen. This is not foreign behavior to this particular school.
Guest guest
Dear , I am so sorry you had to actually pull your son out of school. I graduated, many years ago from Klein. It used to be a good school district. Does anyone have a link to the story?? I tried on the Fox website, but couldn't find the story. > > Grrrrrr..... > > Imagine my surprise (not) when I saw the elementary school that I just > removed my ds from flash up on the screen. > > This is not foreign behavior to this particular school. > > >

HOUSTON -- At 6 years old, he was diagnosed as bi-polar and placed in special education. But by the age of 10, he had a lengthy juvenile rap sheet. That has some wondering if school officials are criminalizing his special needs. Guest guest
I was told by my advocate/consultant that Klein ISD has a new director of special ed. She is beginning to hear positive things about her from other parents and is very hopeful she'll be the one to turn things around here. I have checked the admin list for special ed, and there is someone new listed as the director. I am not sure how long she has been in place. Guest guest
Dr. Carol Terracina I don't know anything about her... where she came from, etc.... All I know is that my very short experience with Klein ISD has been abysmal. I'm not sure how long the new director has been in place. Obviously not long enough for new policies to trickle down to the school level.
Guest guest
Dr. Rosenberg will take Dr. Terracina's position effective July 2008. I'm estatic about this because I've known Dr. Rosenberg for a long time(she diagnosed my kids at age 3 when she was working for Klein ISD as a psychologist.) Over the years she has been the person in the district who I would contact whenever needed for myself and for other people...she has always been very helpful and " parent friendly " . Having her in this position is an incredibly positive thing for our district! a Re: Re: News Alert for WEDNESDAY: FOX News Report tonight on Klein ISD - please spread the word... Guest guest
I thought Dr. Rosenberg was the former director. Her name was listed as of last summer up until just a few months ago and she is the one I was directed to with questions when we moved in to the district. I left many voicemails with no return call. I finally got in contact with Antel who said that Dr. Rosenberg was no longer with the district. Antel was placed as interim director.... I'm confused. If she is as good as I've heard, then I'm really hopeful there will be major improvements by the time my son is back in public school. Guest guest
, I just talked to Antel the other day...she took Rosenberg's position(Associate Director) when left temporarily to be home with her kids more. I think for about a year, she was doing contract work with the district. Then out of the blue she recently told me that she will be taking over Dr. Terracina's position as Executive Director of Special Ed. this July. (I see her at school functions and birthday parties since our girls are friends and in the same 4th grade class) I think you have good reason to be hopeful--she's a great lady. a Re: News Alert for WEDNESDAY: FOX News Report tonight on Klein ISD - please spread the word... Guest guest
From what I found on the internet, Carol Terracina has been at Klein since at least 10/2007. http://www.zoominfo.com/Search/PersonDetail.aspx?PersonID=166786357 Tonya From: Texas-Autism-Advocacy [mailto:Texas-Autism-Advocacy ] On Behalf Of Sent: Thursday, May 15, 2008 9:03 PM To: Texas-Autism-Advocacy Subject: Re: News Alert for WEDNESDAY: FOX News Report tonight on Klein ISD - please spread the word... Guest guest
I don't know exactly how long Dr. Terracina's been with Klein but I do know it's been a number of years.(long before 10/2007) a Re: News Alert for WEDNESDAY: FOX News Report tonight on Klein ISD - please spread the word...
