Guest guest
Hi Amy, This is less an attempt to answer your question than it is a general word on weight from the perspective of a medical intuitive: From the beginning of my practice I've found a consistent theme with regard to weight - that as in all things, each person is unique. After a scan of a person who's coming to my office, which includes issues of under or overweight, I know now that I'll have no idea what the client actually looks like. An example was a young woman whose scan revealed nothing about her being overweight. The person who appeared at my door was what- in the day- people euphemistically referred to as " big-boned. " Almost rectangular. She had other health issues but finally revealed that she considered weight to be one of them and weight loss to be an objective. I checked again and told her that I simply wasn't getting her weight, per se, to be either detrimental or something she'd have much success altering. (At the same time I got that there was a degree of genetic insulin resistance that a naturopath would probably want to address.) But I got that her shape and weight were mostly genetically determined. Her response was " Oh, I was afraid you might say that. My dad and everyone in his family is shaped exactly like me. " On the other hand, a recent scan indicated that for optimal well-being a young woman needed to reduce her weight, so I thought I knew what she'd look like. Wrong again. The woman who showed up was tall, and to my eyes, quite slender. I thought I'd simply made an error in the scan. But she was wearing a loose tunic which fell straight over her waist and hips and she was the one to point out that she was carrying about fifteen pounds more than she was accustomed to in that area. For her I got that losing that weight was an important and realizable objective. What I came to conclude was that the most useful feedback I could give was one person's intuitive sense of how successful or necessary the process of weight loss might be, since most people look forward to the effort about as much as a quilting needle in the eye.
