FEAT-Houston wants to promote the use of ABA in public schools. We want to

hear your ideas, concerns, and pie-in-the-sky wishes! Please join us

Thursday, May 8. Invite your teachers, principals, and special ed

administrators to join you. The discussion will be moderated by an

independent facilitator.

Topic: ABA & Public Schools - Round Table Discussion

IDEA 2004, No Child Left Behind, and Texas' Autism Supplement mandate the

use of evidence-based practices in public schools.

Parents, teachers, administrators, and ABA providers are invited to

participate in a moderated round table discussion about the use of Applied

Behavior Analysis (ABA) in public schools. Please come with your questions,

ideas, concerns, " best practice " suggestions, and comments about ABA in

public schools.

FEAT-Houston advocates the use of ABA in the education of individuals with

autism. The feedback from this meeting might be used to inform decisions

about how FEAT-Houston can support and promote the use of ABA in public

schools.

Location: Gee Center, 3599 Westcenter Drive, Phone: .

Directions: Take the Richmond exit off Beltway 8. Turn onto Richmond east of

the Beltway. The first street you can turn at will be Westcenter. Turn south

onto Westcenter and drive only about a block and the Community Center will

be on the left.
