Guest guest
I'm not disagreeing that money is the issue. What I'm saying is higher taxes are not going to make a difference in a state where the priorities are way out of whack. Money is exactly the issue. In a state with a 7 billion surplus and millions of SpEd funds going back to OSEP each year, raising taxes is a great way to put more money into football stadiums, Superintendent salaries and law firms to defend non-compliant schools. Is responsible for all of those decisions made at the district level? Remember the transparency law he passed - requiring all school districts to post their expenditures on-line? Maybe that's exactly why he hasn't restored funding - due to the abusive practices by those calling the shots at the district level. -- In Texas-Autism-Advocacy , " Singleton " wrote: > > Well, according to every legislator that I've talked to, money IS THE issue. > Always is and always has been.
