What is considered delta, theta, beta?

O.K., this may seem a bit simplistic, however, different philosophies

about neurofeedback and frequency ranges, can also reflect differences

in frequencies for delta, theta and beta.

For exammple, I have a QEEG and the practitioner said, " train down

delta and theta " at F8 and train down beta at Pz. Delta frequency has

typically been in the range of 1-4 hz, theta 4-7 or even 4-8 and beta

from 21-30, 22-35, 23-38 and on and on. (Please note I am a newbie

when it comes to understanding Q's. Trying to figure out frequencies

is not a strong point for me). Pete has us training a lot within the

2-5 range. Pete, would this be your way of interpreting training down

delta and theta?

As I await the practitioner's belief on the frequency ranges, how

would you interpret the question: " Train down delta and theta " at one

site and " train down beta " at another? Thank you!

Pam
