Guest guest
Unconditional Love is the Epitome of SpiritualityBy: D. Blackstone If you want something, the best way to get it is to give it to another. In this manner, you are working the way the universe was designed to work. If you want love from another, then give your love to that person. Because the very act of giving is, in fact, the act of receiving. The act of giving lets the universe know that you possess that which you are willing to give. It is a statement to the universe. The universe is like a giant mirror that reflects back whatever we project to the universe. When we give love to another, the universe sees us as a loving being and returns love to us. When we desire success and help another to achieve success, the universe sees that we are abundant with success and gives more back to us.When we make a statement to the universe that we do not have enough money, the universe acknowledges that and sends an affirmation back to us that we do not have enough money. The universe reflects back to you the thoughts, words, and deeds that you project to it, as you continually send out messages that define yourself. You are the only person in control of the romantic love in your life. However, the love we are concerned with here is much more inclusive than romantic love. The love that is at our core is the love that is at the core of the universe. Our individual romantic loves show us only a tiny aspect of this all-inclusive love that holds the universe together. We know in our hearts about this all-inclusive love that we received from the source of all when she created us. The love that binds the universe together knows no boundaries and has no conditions attached to it.It is the love of God. It is unconditional love. God possesses it so we possess it, because we are one with God. At our core, we are unconditional love; the love that does not make judgments and accepts all that is. This unconditional love is thankful for all that is because it is part of all that is.When you are thankful for something, that is, when you are truly thankful, you are open to the concept of love without conditions. In fact, thankfulness, as a true attitude of gratitude, is the most powerful statement that you can make to the universe, or God.We have defined love as the sum total of all of our emotions. The emotions that we call good, such as joy, compassion, romantic love, generosity, etc., and the emotions that we call bad, such as hate, greed, lust, cruelty, etc. (By the way, good and bad are only labels that we use to describe something in this relative world)If we use this definition of love, then the only way to describe unconditional love is to say that we accept all of the emotions and all of the feelings that we encounter in our journey through life. We accept and bless it all, the good, the bad and the ugly. Not only accept it, but bless it.Acceptance is the key. Life is what life is. We create and co-create every experience to define who we are, and determine who we want to be. We create consciously and we create unconsciously.Unfortunately most of us live and create unconsciously, so we often are surprised by what shows up in our lives. (Remember, every thought is creative at some level.) So we stumble through the events and circumstances of our lives and sometimes wonder, "why is this happening to me?" If we are conscious and aware, we answer, "Because I created it," and we can accept what shows up, bless it and use it as a definition of who we are. We can more easily love it unconditionally. If you are unconscious and sleepwalk through life, it is almost impossible for you to accept an event you are unprepared for. You don't see it as a reflection of your creation. Instead you see it as an obstacle that you must endure and struggle to get through. No acceptance, no blessing. If you give it love at all, it is conditional.Unconditional love requires an awareness that your needs are being met and an appreciation of that. Why it is that most of us do not have that awareness and cannot therefore be thankful? What happens between the time we are born, when we are unconditional love, and the time when we start to experience life and begin to put conditions on the love within us?Life is what happens. Beautiful, delicious, incredible life.Posted w/Love, Respect & GratitudeBy ~*~MOTHERPEACE~*~</
