Just a note to keep everyone posted. On Wednesday I am meeting with a

local National Guard recruiter to discuss the programs that are

offered in the Guard. A friend got my in contact with this recruiter

because he is supposed to be really good at working on both ens to get

guys in that want to serve. I'll also be dicussing which MOS(military

occupational specialty) I might be interested in. Some friends of mine

that have enlisted under this recruiter have told me to just be

completely upfront with the asthma. This recruiter has brought in

someone who has had their thyroid removed and is on daily meds...

Based on how this meeting goes, I may be headed to take the ASVAB's

rather soon.

I'm curious, is that recruiter making allowances for asthma then? And if so, is he doing so because of maybe college background traits, such as degrees and so forth, or for special skills?
