Hello,I'm new to the group and new to Asthma. I've always been allergic to cats and recently started dating a guy with 2 of them.Apparently, I now have cat-induced asthma. My allergist said that each exposure puts me at risk for developing full blown asthma.I'm wondering if I take Singulair and have no allergy symptoms when around the cats while on that, am I still at risk for developing worse asthma? And what about allergy shots? If I do those and they help with the allergies, could my asthma still be getting worse with each exposure? Thanks,

Hello,

I'm new to the group and new to Asthma. I've always been allergic to

cats and recently started dating a guy with 2 of them.

Apparently, I now have cat-induced asthma. My allergist said that each

exposure puts me at risk for developing full blown asthma.

I'm wondering if I take Singulair and have no allergy symptoms when

around the cats while on that, am I still at risk for developing worse

asthma? And what about allergy shots? If I do those and they help with

the allergies, could my asthma still be getting worse with each

exposure?

Thanks,
