Guest guest
What have I missed? Viv, you are moving to Spokane I take it? When will this take place? I wish I could offer some great advice but I am too burdened with boxes to even be able to think clearly. I am soooo sick of boxes. Will you move with a moving company or yourself? This was our first time with a moving company and I will never do it again! My crafts and craft supplies got hit the hardest and our monitor was packed upside down so now everything doesn't show up on the full screen - it has black on a 1/2 inch on each side. Hubby and I were very close to a divorce with this move - I haven't been that mad at him in a loooonnnnngggggg time. He got up that Friday morning when we were to close on this house and he had to go to his work first so he said he would meet me at the house at 8:30 - I asked why when we were to close at 9:00 - why would we go to the house first. Well, he told the movers they could come in early and so they were here while we were at the closing. I get so mad just thinking about it!!!!!! If I could have gotten ahold of them, I would have changed it. I drew up the floor plan and where the boxes were to go - they didn't pay any attention to it. UGHHHHH. They packed our stuff in one day instead of two and now I am finding out we are paying for that fact. I had boxes packed still from our move a year ago and they went and put other things in them - like I had a few boxes that were from my growing up years - they put my waffle iron in the one. Thank goodness I checked it - I never would have because it was labeled something that I would have left packed for a long, long time. I am just wondering how many more of those kinds of things I am going to run into. Now I know to look in every box. The one box of craft things that I had made and was selling up until the week we moved they put in another box with other things and had heavy items sitting on my wreaths and swags and my clay pot people next to my wooden birdhouses. I literally walked away after just seeing the top of that box and left it sit for four days. I was too upset to deal with it at the time. I like where we are and I am meeting people. My son still has met more then me! I don't like our house still but hopefully once the boxes disappear and everything is painted and decorated, that will change. Oh, I hope it does. I hate that feeling. I went and got my hair hightlighted today and spent too much money on that and clothes. I just bought two outfits but that adds up, especially since only a two of the things were on sale. I love buying things on sale. Maybe that is what is making me feel so guilty. I shouldn't be spending money right now but with that awful All School reunion coming up I did need some things. I did buy a size 13/14 in a stretch capri pant and a size 16 jean short so I guess that proves I did lose something and I am no longer a size 18. Sorry I am so long winded tonight!!!! I can't believe they moved your stuff into other boxes....how rude! That makes it so much more difficult because you have no idea where your things are.....kind of defeats the whole purpose of you labeling your own boxes, huh? I'm glad that you like where you are and that you and your son are meeting new people! I know you were worried about how your son would handle the move! I'm sure you'll like your house once you have the chance to get everything situated and can start adding your own personal touches! Congratulations on the smaller size clothes! You are definitely making progress! Now that the stess of the move is behind you....I hope you can get back into a routine! You can use those boxes as something for you to kick over (or at, I guess.....LOL)! Good luck getting situated! I hope you can start enjoying your new home soon
