Guest guest
OK, now my mood has really gone down --- 3 degrees (an improvement over yesterday's -10), cloudy, grey, snowing. Windows are definitely closed, daughter is in. Our summers rarely reach 71. On a more serious note - my breathing is better than it has been for days so life is good! For instance today it's officially 71 degrees here and the sun is out and the house windows are open the kids are OUTSIDE on the deck playing as if it were spring. Is it just me or does the weather have alot to do with our moods? I wish we had more days like today. Terry I know God will not give me anything I can't handle. Guest guest
Mike, Speaking of cold and breathing. How long were you in the south? I remember when we moved from WY to Mobile. What a shock. I was a pre-teen with no asthma and I had a hard time for a bit. I wonder if the drastic climate change with the move back is contributing for you this winter? Guest guest
Hi Madeline, I arrived in Greenville, SC on 7/3/06. I left 5/3/08. What a change from Alaska!! And I thought the transition from El Paso to AK was hard. We moved back when my eyes began to show damage from the steroids. My eye doc told me I had to choose between seeing and breathing. What a choice. My pulmonologist suggested that if I had not had these asthma probs in AK then a move back may change my condition. It did not change it greatly. The cold has never bothered me before, can't say that now. Two days ago we were -10f. My breathing was horrid. Today we are at 22f and it is not even 8am. My breathing is much easier. On a side note: Your card arrived intact. Thank you so much for your kindness. Guest guest
I can't help but think that some of this may be an acclimation issue and next winter will probably be much better. I have never really gotten used to the warmer humid weather in the south, but my doc told me that if I all of a sudden moved back to WY then it would give me absolute fits the first winter anyway. Just something to ponder. You are very welcome for your card! I enjoyed sending them.
