Guest guest
, New to the group but as someone who is not far away from the transplant list my thoughts and prayers are with you. I guess I'm very lucky. I have 3 sisters who have all volunteered to be screened as live donors. I thank God for them every day. Let us know how things turn out. Guest guest
Hi Genny..., Harper, Debby, Sherry and all, Thanks for the prayers and support. I just got out of the hospital (3rd time in 2 months - 2 for bleeds and 1 for "further testing" by hematologist (to check blood), neurologist (to do spinal tap). My GI doc is working hard on getting me on the transplant list as he says I have end-stage cirrhosis due to AIH...but I guess there just aren't enough donors around. I'm very exhausted and frustrated and broke financially...perhaps this is just the Lord's way of telling me it is not time for a transplant. I will just keep my faith. I send my prayers to all,

Guest guest
, It is true, there aren't enough donors around but that has nothing to do with getting on the list. Bleeds are one criteria that get you on, the others are encepalopathy, puritis (the itching due to high bilirubin) and two others, I can't think of them right now. Make syure the Dr. keeps on top of it. , you've got to keep your faith. I can't know how you feel but I can tell you I've been there. You'v got to keep on believing that everything will turn out right. Hang in there. Guest guest
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your prayers & concern. We've been in touch with my brother numerous times about little . They did surgery last night and we have been told the surgeons were able to reattach the ends of all his fingers and the pads! On the middle finger, they were able to salvage some nail bed, so they believe the end of it will heal too. He may have some residual effects, but nothing like what could've been. GOD IS GOOD!!! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for your prayers!!!! Matt ~ May I say that you pray the most beautiful prayers. I have passed it on to my brother and his family so they may keep it. Connie ~ Thanks for the sock idea. We've been told the healing is slow and that sounds like an excellent idea. 's first birthday is 03/17/04, so perhaps even a sock puppet would keep him entertained so he'd be inclined to leave it on. I'll pass the info. I love you all. May God bless. Guest guest
Sucky- a descriptive word for a situation which is no fun and not fair for someone to go through. With that said. That really sucks. I will be praying incredibly hard for . Poor little guy. Peeing blood is incredibly scary. If you recall a few months ago I was peeing blood for two weeks straight, mine just ended up being the adeno virus that attacked my kidneys.. Common for kids with suppressed immune systems otherwise a rare thing to happen..I dont even know how Rob (big rob) even deals with that, it was incredibly scary and uncomfortable for me....He is an amazing kid, yeah 15 isn't a kid but at 19 I do have seniority to use that word . I really hope they figure out what is going on with and that his pee clears up. Do they have a special nurses bathroom. I hated using school bathrooms they're gross.. so I was allowed to use the private and clean bathroom in the nurses office. Maybe they would let do that and he could get a special pass to leave when he needs to pee. Just a thought. Lots of Love and Prayers poly JRA and Spondy,
